Blepharoplasty: Eyelid Rejuvenation – For a More Rested, Youthful Look
Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), or eyelid rejuvenation, is an easily accomplished Procedure which gives the eyes an open, more rested look. Done under local anesthetic, the eyelid surgery Procedure involves removing excess skin and fat from the upper eyelid and fat from the lower eyelid. Blepharoplasty improves tired-looking, puffy, droopy eyelids. Patients look more youthful, rested and refreshed. Our Medical Director, Dr. Rick Noodleman has performed hundreds of blepharoplasties since 1995. Even younger patients can benefit when heredity has left them with an unsatisfactory eye shape. Patients are typically able to resume a non-strenuous daily routine quickly, i.e., within 2-3 days. The eyelid surgery technique used by Dr. Noodleman for the lower lids involves incisions inside the lid, leaving no visible scarring, less chance of infection and less chance of drooping later.
The technique for the upper lids involves placing a small incision in the lid’s natural crease, usually obscuring it from view. Eyelid rejuvenation is long lasting. “Heaviness of the upper lids disappears. Patients report a more rested, refreshed appearance,” explains Dr. Noodleman. “They get asked if they went on vacation or lost weight – they look better but natural, avoiding a “done” look.” To schedule a blepharoplasty consultation, please call 877-AGE-DEFY or contact us online.
